The artist has painted an image of his ideal place to camp in a creek bed.  A man is depicted sitting in the shade of the trees between the hills.  He has been away from home hunting for emu and kangaroo.

About Peter Mungkuri: Language Pitjantjatjara.  Born 1946 in Fregon, Mungkuri has always stayed in his country between Mimili and Indulkana - he is a tjilpi (senior old man) at Iwantja Arts.  As a young man he watered trees and started the Mimili bush garden and then worked for the cattle stations.  He is an experienced horseman and was a drover beween Mimili and Oodnadatta, Kenmore and Finke.  He began painting many years ago but put it aside as we was still working and found he was too tired to be inspired.  He is now retired and loves to paint his dreaming stories of rockholes and his country.
